Naturally good

The Shambhala path

Every person is naturally good, warm-hearted and intelligent, this is the basis of the Shambhala teachings. This innate goodness, Warm-heartedness and intelligence are cultivated and nourished through the practice of meditation. Then these qualities can develop further in everyday life, so that they become part of the family, to friends, radiate into our environment and into society.

The Shambhala Path offers an introduction to meditation techniques and wisdom teachings, which are based on the ancient tradition of Shambhala and Tibetan Buddhism.

As a structured path of meditation, it is equally suitable for experienced meditators without previous experience. The individual modules consist of weekend seminars and courses, which build on each other and are led by experienced Shambhala teachers. Weekend seminars and courses can also be attended independently of each other.

If you have questions about the Shambhala path, feel free to write a message to Sophie.

“If we open our eyes, the mind and the heart, we see, that the world is a magical place”.(Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche)

Shambhala Training

The first five weekends of the Shambhala Path are called “Shambhala Training”. They are taught using the same curriculum at all Shambhala centers worldwide and provide complete meditation training.

Art, to be human

Shambhala-Training Stufe 1

We learn in meditation, to find inner peace and balance amidst the many irritations of everyday life. We discover, who we really are, see the living of every moment and gain the ability, to be alert and committed to every situation in life. This creates confidence and gentleness in us and we develop a sense of humor.

Fearlessness Discover

Shambhalatraining Stufe 2

Meditation practice allows us to discover, how we weave a cocoon of habit patterns, to cover up our fears and irritations. When we venture out of these habitual patterns, we see the brilliance of the world and at the same time perceive our sensitivity and authenticity.

“We understand meditation here as something very basic and simple, that is not tied to any particular culture: Sitting on the floor, adopting good posture and developing a sense of our place in the world.”
(Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche)

Bravely into the world

Shambhalatraining Stufe 3

We learn, to implement the formal practice of mindfulness and awareness in everyday life. We are mindful and open with all our senses, and thus perceive the world around us more vividly. We experience fearlessness, that arises from it.

Awakened heart

Shambhalatraining Stufe 4

When we allow openness and touchability in communication with the world, this also means, that the world can touch our hearts and that our hearts awaken through this touch. Free from all habitual, We approach the world with entrenched ideas and thought patterns with clear senses.

Open skies

Shambhalatraining Stufe 5

We communicate with the world gently and fearlessly, our awareness is sharpened and we experience the open, clear sky of the mind: a delicious source of wisdom and uplifting energy. We have enough faith in our true nature, to let go and immerse yourself in every moment.

While sitting still, by following your breath, how it flows out and disappears, you establish the connection to your heart. You just let yourself be, like you are, and from this comes a real sympathy for yourself.”
(Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche)
